A worker from the Utility Service Company out of Liberty, which received the bid to do the work on the old Gallatin water tower, arrived last Thursday. The bid package includes: installing a new roof vent; stiffening the e-ring at the roof/shell interface (the ring that connects the roof to the tank); fixing the overflow pipe; doing interior epoxy spot repair; and welding a new roof ladder on. After that work is complete, he will also disinfect and re-seal the inside of the tank.
