P.E.O. Chapter BQ met June 2 at Seasons on the Square. Hostesses were Sheryl Warren and Sherry Golden. The program was on Marilyn Hemry’s conference. Marilyn was one of more than 330 representatives of P.E.O. chapters across Missouri who attended the 110th annual convention held May 30-31 and June 1 in Cape Girardeau.
P.E.O. is our international women’s organization with an interest in providing women with increased opportunities for higher education. There are approximately 5,700 chapters in the U.S. and Canada with more than 320,000 members. The purposes of P.E.O. are educational and philanthropical, and are accomplished through projects on the local, state, and international levels.
