On June 12, 2003, the Gallatin FCCLA officers Lindsey Robertson, Kyle Hefley, Whitney Boyd, Karly Goll, Kinsey Batson, Katie Patton, Ayrica Batson, Haleigh Tague, Allie Michener, Katie Ward, advisor Kathy Robertson and chaperone Karla Michener visited the Ronald McDonald House to donate pop tabs.
The pop tabs go to make money for the houses and general needs of families with children at Children’s Mercy Hospital. During their visit, FCCLA members were given a tour of the Ronald McDonald House and the family room at Children’s Mercy Hospital by the Community Outreach Manager Alan Lubert.
The hospital is currently raising money to add a new, bigger house. This will add services to more families. They plan to have it open in 2005.
The Gallatin FCCLA Chapter plans to continue fund-raising projects for the Ronald McDonald House. Support from the community would be greatly appreciated.
