Dr. and Mrs. Jimmy O’Rourke will be joining Huffman Chiropractic Center on June 3. The center is located at 122 N. Market on the west side of the square. Dr. Roger Huffman will continue to treat patients on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while Dr. O’Rourke will treat patients on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The Huffman’s are happy that patients will be afforded greater convenience with the arrival of Jimmy and Cindy to their practice.

Jimmy’s wife, Cindy, will work in the office on the days her husband is there. She will also soon be providing patient care, as she graduates from Massage Therapy school in December of this year.

Jimmy is a 1990 graduate of Gallatin High School and a 1996 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West in San Lorenzo, California. After obtaining his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, Jimmy moved back to the Midwest and began practice in the Kansas City area where he has remained until now. Jimmy’s foster parents, Steve and Kathy Yost, reside in Lexington, Missouri.

Cindy is a 1996 graduate of Gallatin High School and a 2000 graduate of William Jewell College, where she obtained a BS degree in Business Administration. After college, Cindy worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City until her recent decision to enroll in massage therapy school at BMSI Institute in Overland Park, Kansas. Cindy’s parents, Danny and Karen Critten, reside in Gallatin.

Jimmy and Cindy “formally” met in February 2002 at the River of Life Church in Kansas City.

Cindy’s parents, Danny and Karen Critten, were visiting their daughter at church one Sunday.

Cindy and her mother noticed the name tag of one of the ushers and realized that he used to play basketball at Gallatin high school. Cindy introduced herself to Jimmy after the service and the rest is history. The couple became engaged in May 2002 and will be married today, May 21, 2003 in Hawaii. Jimmy and Cindy plan to move to Gallatin in June.

What an exciting time. A young couple embarking on a new life together…one that will pair them together in helping others improve their health. It is equally exciting that this new life should begin so close to family and roots. Cindy and Jimmy are looking forward to getting settled into the community. They have extended a warm welcome to the town to come by the practice and say hello.
