Funeral services for Ina L. Grimmett, a native of Gallatin, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hixson-Klein Funeral Home, Gower. Burial will be at Ridgely Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in Kansas City or Meals-On-Wheels in Kansas City North in care of the funeral home.

Ina L. Grimmett, 67, Kansas City, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at the Gower Convalescent Center.

Mrs. Grimmett was born on Sept. 15, 1935 in Gallatin. She grew up and attended school in Jamesport.

Mrs. Grimmett worked for Guy’s Potato Chips in Liberty for many years.

On June 12, 1974, she married Clyde Elmer Grimmett. They lived in Kansas City. He died on Jan. 13, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Raymond Hagar, and one sister, Virginia Ruth Theimer.

Survivors include four sons, Lewis Bell, Birmingham, Jerry Bell, Texas, Randy Grimmett, Lathrop, Butch Grimmett, Joplin; three daughters, Cinda Pope, Kansas City, Brenda Rossi, Kansas City, and Sally Rush, Joplin; one brother, James Hagar, Jamesport; one sister, Lois Patterson, Kansas City; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
