Mayor Schweizer stated “As previously stated, I believe we must give consideration to the will of half of the voters in the west ward as expressed in the election. This being the case, I recommend Tim Andrew be approved by this board to serve until the next regular election as west ward alderman.” The vote was: Griffin, nay; Snidow, nay; Wycoff, nay.
Mayor Schweizer stated “Larry Barnes was the first and only person to contact me, expressing interest in the appointment. I told him I would recommend his appointment if he felt he had the support of at least two board members. I talked with him last week and he thought he had this support. Therefore, I recommend Larry Barnes to serve until the next regular election. The vote was: Giffin, nay; Snidow, nay; Wycoff, nay.
