A Gallatin woman and her two small children received minor injuries in an accident at about 9:50 a.m. on Monday, May 5, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Jennifer Akins, 27, was northbound on Hwy 13 and failed to negotiate a curve. She drove off the east side of Hwy. 13, over-corrected, crossed Hwy. 13 and went off the west side, rolling twice.

The vehicle came to rest on the passenger side in a west ditch.

Mrs. Akins and her daughters, Tatum, 3, and Tori, 10 months, were taken to Harrison County Hospital at Bethany by ambulance. All three were wearing safety devices.

The 1999 Chevrolet Blazer was totaled and towed by Bridgeman’s of Altamont.

The accident was investigated by Sgt. J.H. Thompson, assisted by Cpl. R.A. Sherman.

No summons was issued.
