Gallatin varsity track athletes have been sidelined for more than a week after much-needed rains washed out a pair of meets during the past week. Both major relay events at Hamilton (Thursday) and South Harrison (Tuesday) were canceled because of soggy track conditions.
The news hasn’t been all bad for the Bulldogs, however. Junior Katie Ward set a new GHS girls pole vault record one week ago Tuesday when she cleared the bar at 9′ at the Tiger Relays held at Worth County High School, which is also the site of this year’s Grand River Conference Meet on May 13. Ward also held the old Lady Bulldog pole vault record.
Weather permitting, GHS will be the site this Saturday for the annual Gallatin Relays.
