Following significant rainfall during the weekend, the commission removed the burning ban.
Dana Urton, Health Department Administrator, notified the clerk’s office of the appointment of Johnny Sterneker to their board following the municipal election.
Shannon Howe of Shafer, Kline & Warren met with the commission concerning the construction bids on BRO(22) last week. He had found a mathematical error in the apparent low bidder’s documentation. He therefore recommended that the award be given to Boone Construction Company at $164,866.60. Danny Heldenbrand moved that Mr. Howe’s recommendation be accepted. David Holcomb seconded. Carried. The notice of the award was executed. Also, bridge number 3490019 in section 10 of Benton Township was programmed for construction.
Lloyd Riley, Monroe Township, met with the commission regarding culverts in that township.
The commission inspected.
The clerk reported that ballots from the April and August 2000 elections were destroyed by shredding.
