Gallatin Teen Beat is reorganizing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, during a meeting at the Gallatin Police Department. Anyone interested is invited to attend and contribute ideas to help establish a Teen/Youth Activity Center.
Local teenagers have expressed a desire to create a recreational place not only on weekend evenings but on weekdays after school and during summer vacation. Ideas include computers for fun and educational use, a game room, and a theater area to view videos. The center would also house dances and other social events.
The meeting on April 22 will focus on spring and summer fund raising activities. This is the first meeting since a winter recess. Mark your calendars and plan to join up with those interested in healthy, recreational activities for Gallatin area youth.
