Funeral services for Frankie L. Courter, formerly of Coffey, were held Tuesday at Roberson Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in Coffey Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Frankie Courter Memorial Fund.
Frankie Louise Courter, 80, Eldora, died Saturday, April 12, 2003.
Mrs. Courter was born June 8, 1922, in Salem.
She had worked as a nurse’s aide for Crestview Home in Bethany.
On June 14, 1941, she married Wesley Courter. He died on Nov. 24, 1994.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, John and Bobby; a grandson, Cecil Graham; three brothers, Clay, Max and Ray Watkins.
Survivors include her son, Frankie of Collins, Iowa; and one daughter, Iona Courter of Eldora, Iowa; two sisters, Leona Woody and Frances Whitt both of Iowa; a brother Billy Watkins of Iowa; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
