A Lawson man was moderately injured in an a four wheel ATV accident at about 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, on private property in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Curtis Mead, 29, drove the four-wheeler up a dirt embankment at 33146 240th, Hamilton, and overturned. The ATV came to rest on top of him.

He was taken to Cameron Hospital for treatment.

The 1998 Arctic Cat 500 4 wheel ATV received minimal damage and was released to the owner.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. Huber.

No summons was issued.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Nathan Uthe, 20, Altamont, received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:45 a.m. on April 14.

Mr. Uthe was westbound on Hwy. 136 one mile west of Stanberry when he went off the north side of the road and down an embankment. The vehicle overturned on its top where it came to rest.

Mr. Uthe was taken by Gentry County Ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville. He was wearing his seat belt.

The 1986 Pontiac was totaled and towed by Wiederholts Body Shop in Stanberry.

The accident was investigated by Cpl. M. Quilty, assisted by the Gentry County Sheriff Department.

Summons is pending.
