Charges were filed against Lori Paulno April 1 for the Class C felony of forgery. Paulno allegedly forged her husband’s signature on a vehicle title application filed Aug. 30, 2001, after murdering her husband on July 11, 2001. The case was continued to April 21. Paulno is awaiting a jury trial in Clinton County. The trial has been set for September for murder in the first degree, Class A felony, abandonment of a corpse, Class C felony, and stealing, Class C felony. She is currently incarcerated at Midwest Security Housing in Pattonsburg.
