A Springfield youth received moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 10:15 a.m. on Friday, March 28, in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Dennis Anthony, 16, Springfield, was northbound on I-35, three miles north of Cameron, when his vehicle drifted off the left side of the interstate. He overcorrected, causing the vehicle to run off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top.
Dennis Anthony was taken to Cameron Hospital for treatment. He was wearing his seat belt.
The 1993 Buick received moderate damaged and was towed by Bridgemans to a lot in Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. Lynch, assisted by Sgt. Eads, Cpl. Sherman, Tpr. Root, Tpr. Wilhoit, Tpr. Landi, and Tpr. Huber.
Summons was issued for C-I driving
