Kurt and Meckessa Mattox are the proud parents of a baby boy born March 18, 2003, at Heartland East, St. Joseph. Corbin Eugene “Rice” Mattox weighed 8 pounds, 13 ounces. He has two brothers, Brenton and Payden, to welcome him home.

Maternal grandparents are Dianna Rice and the late Ron Rice of Cameron. Maternal great- grandmother is Brookie Rice of McFall. Paternal grandparents are Larry and Alice Mattox of Cameron. Corbin was named in memory his grandfather, “Rice.”
