Dr. Story and fourth graders get to the heart of the matter

Dr. Eugene and Mary Jane Story visited fourth graders at Gallatin to discuss the circulatory system and the heart. Dr. Story explained the parts of the heart, their functions, as well as showing the students examples of a calf’s heart.

Mary Jane assisted Dr. Story during his presentation. Students were excited to see a real heart and now have a better understanding of what they are studying in science class with Mrs. Jarboe.
