The date for the Winter Sports Banquet will be Wednesday, March 26th.
The following students need to pay Jostens for their graduation orders: Anthony Eaton, Mariah Gibson, Canada Harris, Angela Haynes, Jeremy Holcomb, Zac Osgood.
Seniors: Sign up in the office if you plan to attend the NCMC Career Fair on Friday, April 4. We will leave at 8:30 a.m. and stay until 10:20 a.m. You will be required to dress appropriately: slacks, nice shirt or skirt and blouse for girls. You will also be required to take a copy of your resume. There will be many exhibitors and booths, plus prize giveaways. Must sign up by Friday, March 28. See Mr. Elbert if you have questions.
Sophomores/Juniors: Applications for next school year are now available for North Central Area Technical School at Bethany. See Mr. Batson if interested.
FCCLA members who still owe for your state conference shirt, please pay ASAP. The cost is $10.
NHS will meet Thursday, March 27, during second seminar. This is an important meeting. Nominations for next yea’rs officers will be made. New members should attend.
There is a sign up sheet in the office for those wanting to try out for Varsity Cheerleading. Practices will be April 2-3 with tryouts April 7 at 6 p.m. Participants will be expected to attend at least 2 of 3 practices. Permission forms, athletic handooks, and constitutions can be picked up in the office and must be signed and returned before you can participate in the first practice.
Reminder to all Upward Bound participants: Academic advising is today from 3 to 5 p.m. in the library. Remember, you are required to attend one hour per week. Bring all your homework and we will see you there.
Congratulations to Beck Macy, Jamie Lunsford and Alicia McKee for receiving II ratings on their piano solos at District Piano Contest on March 22 at NWMSU, Maryville.
The bus for the Junior High Academic Meet to Albany will leave at 3:05 p.m.
Attention band soloists: Mrs. Henry will be here from 3 to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. You must be here to work your solos at those times if you intend on performing Thursday at contest.
Camp Rainbow is now taking applications for volunteers for its summer camp for physically and mentally handicapped campers. You must be age 14 or older and available during June 1-7. Mr. Batson has more information.
Sherri Kerns has Globe Trotter tickets for sale in the superintendent’s office. They will play here at the Gallatin High School on Friday evening, April 4. Tickets are $10; children age 6 and under are free.
Congratulations to the Gallatin FFA Entomology Team that placed second in the Lathrop contest workshop Friday — Brady Feigly was the high individual. Also, congratulations to the Dairy Judging Team that won the Schuyler County Contest — Cassie Carder, Emily Gay and Erin Croy were the top three individuals.
