On Monday, March 17, the Gallatin R-5 seventh grade participated in the “If I Had A Hammer Project” being held this month on campus of North Central Missouri College in Trenton.
Perry Wilson, a carpenter, who wanted to share the knowledge of his occupation with young children, started the project. Students assembled a 12′ x 12′ house, complete with front porch, windows and siding. Sponsoring the hammer project is Tech Prep of Missouri. Coordinator of the NCMC Tech Prep is Wally McGinnis.
Accompanying the class to Trenton were Dan McCann, Ronda McCann, Shelly Salisbury and Nancy Garnett.
