April 4, 9 a.m.-noon
North Central Missouri College has announced plans to host an area-wide Career Fair on Friday, April 4. The event is designed for job seekers of all ages and high school and college students — all given the opportunity to make connections with area employers as well as colleges and technical schools.
The fair is set to begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 12 noon in the Ketcham Community Center in Trenton. It will provide participants the contacts for career and educational information, refreshments and door prizes, while networking with employers and representatives of educational institutions. There is no charge for individuals to participate in the event.
Tyson Otto, Job Placement Coordinator for NCMC says that individuals should bring along resumes, notebooks for taking notes and individuals should be prepared to meet with potential employers representing participating industries and businesses.
Otto stressed that the Career Fair is a unique opportunity for someone looking for employment or pursuing a change in their career and needing to consider training options. The general public is encouraged to be in attendance.
Serious applicants for employment or training should dress appropriately and bring along copies of job resumes for distribution to participants. It is hoped that over 50 exhibitors will be in attendance representing Missouri and southern Iowa.
Businesses, industries and educational institutions may still secure a booth at the Career Fair by contacting Otto at 660-359-3948, ext. 280. Costs and other details may be obtained from Otto at the College Placement Office in Trenton.
