Funeral services for Virginia M. Wilson will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs.

Virginia M. Wilson, 79, Excelsior Springs, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at the Liberty Hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was born on Aug. 22, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Wilson was employed by Farmland Industries for over 10 years and later owned Second Time Around Consignment store, retiring in 1986.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the Excelsior Springs Hospital gift shop.

In June of 1967, she married Bob Wilson. They were married nearly 36 years. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, William D. of Bucyrus, Kan., Steve P. of North Kansas City, and Dan G. of North Kansas City; one sister, Betty Ann Jones of Raytown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
