Superintendent James Ruse discussed the looming legislative cuts with members of the Gallatin R-5 Board of Education during their regular meeting held Feb. 13. The school is facing major cuts and all capital projects have been placed on hold until more information is received from the General Assembly.

Contracts were renewed for High School Principal Mike Burrell and Elementary Principal Kelly Warren.

Sherri Kerns was hired as the superintendent’s secretary.

Bills in the amount of $118,000 were approved for payment. The board transferred $190,000 from Fund I to Fund II to cover teachers payroll for the month. The ledger report was given.
