Funeral services for Essie M. Dykes, mother of Darlene Prentice of Jameson, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bailey & Cox Family Funeral Service at Holt. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Holt. Visitation is one hour before the service.
Essie M. Dykes, 89, Holt, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary (Stevens) Smithee, and her husband, Clarence.
Other survivors include three sons, James of Lawson, Dee of Holt and Bob of Olathe; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
