These cold days try men’s souls. But instead of reaching for another gardening magazine with visions of spring, let’s talk Chautauqua!
The fall festival’s Saturday night entertainment is shaping up to be the Don and Vicki Lybarger family. These former Gallatin residents are now living at Cleveland, MO., and they’ve got big news — they’ve signed an artist development deal with Galaxy Entertainment in Nashville, TN.
Don and Vicki Lybarger and their four children, known as “Blazing Country,” will be performing at the Back Door Studio in Nashville. The Lybargers will also record an album, including an undisclosed number of single releases, and will also produce a music video.
A representative of the entertainment company stated that Galaxy was attracted by the family’s unusual blend of vocal harmonies coupled with the wholesome image they project.
While residing in Gallatin, the Lybargers were employed as instructors at Gallatin R-5 School and were popular local entertainers who participated in festivals and theater league performances. Galaxy expects to release Blazing Country’s CD and first single sometime next month. The Lybargers hope this effort will help them land a major recording contract.
We just hope September doesn’t take too long to get here!
