Farmers interested in an on-line auction service are invited to a presentation, “Introduction to Topcrops.net” at the Daviess County Library in Gallatin from 9-11 a.m. or 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8. Please RSVP to this invitation before Feb. 5, by calling 800-261-9302.
“Most farmers do not have the time or the information to call grain brokers other than those in their immediate locale,” said Jared Ellis, president and CEO of www.TOPCROPS.net. “This service will offer the farmer, at his convenience, world-wide access to any buyer looking for grain. This allows the farmer a wider spectrum for getting the best prices for his grain. This site may be used for any type of farm product.”
Topcrops.net is a service that provides a means for sellers and buyers of products to come together in a forum that is directly related to the industry. Providing a means for sellers to auction their goods to a wider variety of buyers, still related to the industry.
Topcrops.net is for any company/farm that wishes to sell their goods directly by means of auction to a buyer. Topcrops.net is also for buyers that wish to purchase goods directly related to the industry. Buyers can post offers for potential sellers and receive counters. Buy, sell, trade — its up to the members.
Topcrops.net services begins with a member posting items/goods for auction. The member has a series of options to fill out; location, product category, starting price, etc. Buyers then bid on the items/goods. All bids are held in confidence until the end of the auction then only the preferred bidder is revealed to the seller only. Sellers have the ability to accept or reject any bid. Its up to the seller to make the choice. All bids are confidential, the buyers do not see the other bids.
Topcrops.net services are based on annual subscription fees. These fees can be paid in a variety of ways, annually, monthly, etc. Once fees are paid then sellers can auction off as many items/goods as they desire. There are no limits to the amount of auctions or offers that a member can post.
