Darlene Conover was hired as elementary special education instructor for the 2003-04 school year and the resignation of Mrs. York was accepted, effective at the end of this school year.

The board was notified of the completion of ceiling repair to the art room.

Three board members and Mr. Burns will attend the MARE Conference to be held Feb. 21-22.

The board reviewed and approved the Vocational Educational Program report; the Community Education Program report; and the Calendar of Events.

During Principal’s reports, Mrs. Bielby reported 16 students in pre-school; 108 in grades kindergarten through six; and an attendance rate of 94% for December. Mr. Michael reported 79 in grades 7-12, and an attendance rate of 94%.

The board discussed a position opening for a bus driver for the upcoming school year.

The board voted to approve submitting an application for summer school.

The PBC manual was reviewed briefly, then tabled in order to review possible changes at the next meeting.
