Funeral services for Judy Carder were conducted yesterday at the First Baptist Church in Gallatin. A large crowd attended, paying respects to a popular member of this community who died Saturday at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, from complications of a stroke.

Ms. Carder, 58, worked for many years as Gallatin’s city clerk and also worked at Lake Viking and Tate Marina. She was elected Daviess County Treasurer in 1977 and was the longest tenured officeholder at the courthouse at the time of her death. She was a member of Gallatin Rotary Club, the Missouri State Treasurer’s Association, and the Daviess County Democrats.
