Circuit Court

The following cases were heard by Judge Warren McElwain on Law Day held Jan. 22:

In State of Missouri vs. Lori Paulno, held for charges of 1st degree murder, Class A felony, abandonment of a corpse, Class D felony, and stealing, Class C felony, the case was transferred to Judge Stephen K. Griffin. A change of venue is pending.

In State of Missouri vs. Todd Boyer Sr., the defendant plead guilty to the Class D felony of DWI and was sentenced to 3 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, costs taxed to the defendant.

Robert E. Reeds plead guilty to the Class B felony of 1st degree child molestation. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Dustin L. Orr had previously plead guilty to the Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance. The pre-sentence investigation was filed. The imposition of sentence was suspended; defendant was placed on probation for 5 years under supervision of the State Board of Probation and Parole. Special conditions of probation include 30 days shock time and attending substance abuse counseling. Defendant was ordered to pay costs.

Debra S. Levin plead guilty to endangering the welfare of a child, 1st degree, Class D felony. On a plea agreement, the defendant was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections. The pre-sentence investigation was waived.

Probation was revoked for Ronald Craig Esterline for two counts of Class D felony non-support. He was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections on each count, to be served consecutively.

In State vs. Christian Ed Westergaard, the defendant plead guilty to the Class D felony of DWI. On a plea agreement, he was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections.

Billy J. Kinnard plead guilty to driving while revoked, Class D felony, DWI, Class B misdemeanor, and supplying liquor to a minor, a misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Shawn P. Trude plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance, Class C felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class A misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.

Judge Stephen K. Griffin heard the following cases on Jan 23:

In State vs. Claude A Mathews, on a change of venue from Livingston County, the defendant plead guilty to Class C felony stealing and was sentenced to 5 years in the Department of Corrections, to run consecutively with a Livingston County sentence previously entered.

In State vs. Joshua Wayne Gott, on a change of venue from Livingston County, the defendant plead guilty to attempted statutory rape, 1st degree, Class B felony. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
