Two Gallatin aldermen running for mayor
In the April municipal election, Gene Schweizer and Becky Wycoff will be running for mayor. Bob Snidow and Donnie Smith have signed on for eastward alderman; L.B. Davis and Tim Andrew are running for westward.
If Mr. Schweizer, presently westward aldermen, should win the election for mayor, he would be required to resign his position as alderman, according to County Clerk Linda Steward. The Board of Aldermen and the mayor would then hold a special meeting to appoint someone to fill the vacancy. That successor would retain that position until the next municipal election, which would be next April.
