Two women received minor injuries in an accident about two miles west of Winston in Daviess County at about 3:17 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Avanella Arnote, 72, Princeton, driving northbound, failed to yield at the intersection of US 69 at I-35 and pulled into the path of Tina McCaslin, 44, of Winston, who was eastbound. Mrs. McCaslin struck the Arnote vehicle in the driver’s side rear.
A passenger in the Arnote vehicle, Eva Moore, 73, Princeton, and Mrs. McCaslin were taken to Cameron Hospital for treatment.
Both Mrs. Arnote’s 1997 Buick and Mrs. McCaslin’s 1987 Ford Pickup received moderate damage and were towed by Bridgemans Tow to a lot in Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. Heits.
