On Dec. 10, 17 members and two guests of the Daviess County Business Womens’ Associationmet at Geraldine Snidow’s home to prepare Christmas plates for 13 residents of Daviess County. The group then car pooled to Lola Critten’s home for a carry-in holiday dinner and gift exchange. Geraldine Snidow and Mary Ellen Barker were the designated hostesses. The monthly raffle was won by Geraldine. The next meeting is scheduled for Jan. 14, with Hazele Tomlinson and Margaret Townsend as hostesses.

Nine members of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #2172, Gallatin, met at Jo Rossiter’s home on Dec. 12, with Lorene McDonald as hostess. President Pauline Redman welcomed Baolin Vega, an auxiliary life member from Washington state, who is visiting in the area. Pauline introduced Auxiliary District President Karen Harding, who was making her inspection of Gallatin’s auxiliary. After the business meeting, a light dinner and Christmas treats were served and Christmas gifts were exchanged.

The Listen and Learn Club met Dec. 12 at the home of Velma Miller. Each member told of favorite Christmas memory. Velma showed several quilts that she had made. Others showed or told about crafts they were working on. Mary Virginia read the Christmas story and everyone enjoyed the gift exchange and fellowship hour.

Laureate Chapter Beta Sigma Phi met Dec 12th at a playhouse in Excelsior Springs. Twelve members and one guest attended. The executive board met and discussed program ideas for the new year. The Christmas presents were delivered to our adopted family. The next meeting will be Jan. 6th at Carol Weavers with Linda Adkins, program.
