A two-vehicle injury accident occurred at about 7:05 a.m. on Nov. 28 at the 77 mile marker on I-35
A two-vehicle injury accident occurred at about 7:05 a.m. on Nov. 28 at the 77 mile marker on I-35, one mile south of Pattonsburg in Daviess County, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident happened as Raymundo Vargas, 58, Tulsa, Okla., attempted to pass Mildredana Chaszar, 63, Kansas City, and pulled back into the driving lane of the northbound I-35 too soon, striking the front of the Chaszar vehicle.
A passenger in the Vargas’ vehicle, Karina Leal, 22, Tulsa, Okla., received minor injuries and was taken to Bethany Hospital for treatment. All involved were wearing seat belts.
The Chaszar vehicle, a 2002 Ford, received minor damage and was released to the driver. The Vargas’ vehicle, a 1993 Ford, received extensive damage and was towed by Smith Tow to a lot in Pattonsburg.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. Sweiger, assisted by Tpr. Richardson.
Mildredana Chaszar was issued a summons for no operators license.
