The next meeting of the Search and Rescue Club will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Joni’s Café. Club members will hold their Christmas party with gift exchange and also discuss choosing a treasurer. Members will be responsible for own meal. There is no reason to bring your dog. Everyone is invited.
Some 20 homeless dogs have been placed over the last few weeks. However, more are always coming in to the Gallatin Pound. Paw Stockings will be going up in area businesses Tuesday. Patrons are asked to give generously. Some of the funds will go toward a storage building. Good quality dog food can be had at no expense if there is a place to store it. Perhaps someone would like to donate an 8×10 building.
Paula Sparks says she has spoken to Tom Mayfield who was here during the fund raiser with his Australian shepherds. He may be coming in the Spring to help with the Search and Rescue Club’s training.
