The Gallatin Park Board decided to buy a Super Summit Play Station for $9,719.88 during their regular meeting held Nov. 18.

Larry Shannon from Cameron bid $2,476 for restretching, reweaving and replacing some of the poles in the baseball fence. The board will advertise for bids on the fence repair.

Santa Claus will be at the park building from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9-13 and from noon to 6 p.m. on Dec. 14. Shelba Runyan donated lights and decorations for the park. The Seventh Day Adventist Church also donated lights.

Harmon Glass fixed the window in the park building. The counter top and sink in the kitchen will be fixed as soon as possible.

David McLey was presented with an “At A Boy” certificate for cleaning the popcorn machine and lining the soccer fields. Mr. McLey also donated a microwave stand for the popcorn machine.

Wal-Mark sent the park board a $30 gift certificate as a donation for the play station. Marietta Quarries donated a load of gravel with delivery included to the park. A thank you note will be sent to Marshal Jones, Curly Johnson and Don Holey.

The board will be taking applications for a coordinator for the baseball program.

Bills were approved for payment.

Next meeting is set for 6:30 on Dec. 16.
