The Adult Education and Literacy Program, operated from North Central Missouri College, has announced its winter schedule. Classes for adults who need to improve reading, writing or math skills will be held at 11 sites throughout the Green Hills region.
Classes most accessible to Daviess Countians will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at Penney High School in Hamilton. Other nearby sites are 4 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays at the Vo-Tech Building in Bethany; 9 a.m. to noon and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Garrison School Building in Chillicothe; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays or 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at AEL Building on the NCMC campus in Trenton.
These classes offer GED preparation, English as a second language for non-English speaking adults, and ACT preparation for adults wanting to pursue post-secondary schooling. For more information, call 660-359-6687.
