Graveside services and burial for Virgil R. Nance, father of Rose Angela Clay of Pattonsburg, wre held Tuesday at Foster Cemetery in New Hampton. Arrangements were by the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany.
Virgil R. Nance, 94, Kansas City, formerly of New Hampton, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002, at a Kansas City hospital.
Mr. Nance was a switchman for the Kansas City Railroad Terminal.
On Nov. 20, 1941, he married Goldie L. Bender. She died on Dec. 30, 1999.
Mr. Nance was also preceded in death by his parents, Nimrod and Rose E. (Groomer) Nance and a son, Marion Nance.
Other survivors include four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
