Christmas at the Watkins Farm will be on Sat., Dec. 7, from noon to 8:00 p.m. The Watkins Farm, located at Watkins Woolen Mill State Park and State Historic Site near Lawson, will host an 1870’s Christmas celebration at the beautifully decorated Watkins Home.

Activities of the day will include parlor games and caroling, seasonal refreshments, and other entertainments. The activities of the day will last into the evening hours and all are invited to enjoy the beauty of the home by lamplight.

There is no charge for this event and everyone is welcome to attend. The woolen mill will be closed to tours for the day. Contact Jennifer Elam at 816-580-3387 for more information.

Watkins Woolen Mill is located near Lawson. From I-35, take Highway 92 East for 6 miles, RA Highway North for 1 mile and turn right at the park entrance sign. Follow the signs to the Visitors enter/Museum and Woolen Mill. From Hwy 69, go west on MM Highway to Watkins Road. Turn left and follow the signs to the Visitors Center/ Museum and Woolen Mill.
