Iowa man received minor injuries; Gallatin woman received minor injuries
An Iowa man received minor injuries in a one vehicle accident at about 9:45 a.m. on Oct. 13 on I-35 six miles north of Cameron in Daviess County.
The accident occurred as Steven Stull, 24, Mount Ayr, Iowa, was northbound on I-35 and drove off the west side of the roadway, went into the median, hit a crossover, went airborne back across the northbound lanes, rolled once, and came to rest on the passenger side on the east side of the northbound lanes.
Mr. Stull was taken to Cameron Community Hospital by DeKalb/Clinton Co Ambulance. He was wearing a seat belt.
His 1998 Dodge Ram was totaled and towed by Tarrepin Tow to Altamont.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch, assisted by R A. Sherman. Summons is pending.
A Gallatin woman received minor injuries in an accident at about 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 12 one mile south of Cameron in Caldwell County.
The accident occurred as Toby Bunton, 25, Cameron, was southbound on Tri-County Line Road.
He went off the west side of the road, then over corrected, causing the vehicle to go into a sideways skid. The vehicle went off the east side of the road, overturned one time and ejected the driver and back seat passenger. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels in the ditch.
Mr. Bunton received moderate injuries and was taken by Cameron Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Passengers, Clint Riddle, 21, Cameron, and Cassandra Parton, 24, Gallatin, both received minor injuries and were taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Neither the driver nor passengers were wearing seat belts.
Mr. Bunton’s 1999 Ford F-150 was totaled and towed by Glenn’s Wrecker, Cameron.
The accident was investigated by Tpr C.B. Root, assisted by Tpr T.B. Gardner, Cameron Police Department and Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department.
Mr. Bunton received a summons for careless driving and DWI.
