Jonathan Arnold, a seventh grader at Gallatin R-5, was honored during the 22nd annual Duke University Talent Identification Program, held May 24 at Drury University in Springfield.
Jonathan earned state level recognition for outstanding performance in verbal ability on the College Board’s Scholastic Assessment Test or the America College Testing Program Assessment (SAT/ACT) through the 22nd Talent Search conducted by the Duke University Talent Identification Program.
The 2002 talent search for mathematically and verbally gifted seventh graders is conducted in 16 states, including Missouri. The criteria for state level recognition was 510 or above score on the verbal ability portion of the SAT. Of the 3,326 students who tested, 1,266 were recognized with the certificate of distinction and were invited to a state recognition ceremony.
Jonathan is the son of Mike and Linda Arnold, Gallatin.
