Gallatin R-5 grad Brice Garnett shot an 18-hole round of 148 to tie for 2nd place overall in the Southwest Baptist University Invitational Golf Tournament held Monday and Tuesday in Bolivar. A freshmen at Missouri Western State College, Garnett finished 3 strokes back of the individual pace set by Baptist’s Dusty Smith.

Garnett currently leads the MIAA with 16 all-conference points after 2 sanctioned MIAA events.

Missouri Western finished 4th in team standings Tuesday (611) behind 3rd place Central Missouri State (604), runnerup Washburn (603) and tournament champion Southwest Baptist (600).
