Law Day was conducted on Sept. 11, with Judge Warren McElwain presiding. The following cases were heard:

James D. Hulet was granted a dissolution of marriage from Valorie J. Hulet.

On a plea agreement, Marcus D. Young plead guilty to the Class C felony of possession of a controlled substance, and was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections, sentence to run consecutively to the sentence currently being served.

In State of Missouri vs. Michael D. Brown, the defendant plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), Class C felony, and to DWI, Class B misdemeanor. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

Robert M. Kirk plead guilty to an amended charge of robbery 2nd degree, Class B felony. The judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation.

In State of Missouri vs. Joseph Pittsenbarger and State vs. Lisa Pittsenbarger, both defendants plead guilty on a plea agreement to possession of marijuana, Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a $400 fine plus costs for each defendant.

On Sept. 12, in State of Missouri vs. Jeremiah Burnett, the defendant plead guilty to the Class C felony of stealing. On a plea agreement, he was sentenced to 4 years in the Department of Corrections, suspended execution of sentence, and was placed on 5 years probation under supervision of the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole. The defendant is to serve 10 days shock time as a condition of probation, with credit applied for time served. The defendant may not write checks during his probation, and was ordered to pay court costs.

On Sept. 13, Kristina Kay Sharp was granted a dissolution of marriage from Eric Anthony Sharp.
