Ruth Elizabeth Mumford, 86, Maryville, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002.
Born Nov. 10, 1915, in Winston, she was the daughter of Earl and Annie Towler Mumford.
A member of the First Christian Church, Maryville, Ruth was a retired teacher.
Survivors include one brother, Theodore Mumford, and three sisters, Merle Mumford, Naomi Mumford and Irene Brown, all of Maryville.
