Ashley Mackintosh, 21, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William L. Mackintosh, has been named a 2002 Princess of Ak-Sar-Ben for the coronation ball titled “Anything Goes” set for Oct. 26 at Civic Auditorium in Omaha, NE. She is the granddaughter of David and Darlene Mackintosh, Gallatin.

The event, a tradition since 1895, promotes and celebrates voluntarism, philanthropy and civic pride with proceeds to benefit the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Scholarship Fund. A princess is a young woman between ages 21-24 whose family has actively contributed to the Omaha community.

Ms. Mackintosh is currently enrolled at Texas Christian University after serving as an intern in Washington, D.C., for Senator Hagel this past summer. She is studying advertising/public relations and business and anticipates a May, 2003, graduation.
