Traffic Cases

There were 43 traffic cases heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $2,074.50 for 31 cases. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $858 for 12 cases. All of these fines are paid by mail; defendants are not required to appear in court. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $47.50 for moving traffic violations. No seat belt: Donald W. Sayers Jr., Chillicothe, $10.

Passed a vehicle when view obstructed: Edward E. Neighbor, Unionville, $132.50.

Exceeded load width by two feet: Michael R. Dotson, Lathrop, $82.50.

Speeding: Karl B. Gaddis, Springfield, $82.50; Lisa Mae Burnett, Cameron, $57.50; Jordan C. Love, Harrisonville, $57.50; Titus L. Sommers, Weatherby, $82.50.

Josh W. Weller of Ridgeway was fined $60 for excessive weight on tandem axle and $140 for excessive gross weight.

Fishing without permit: Matthew A. Youtsey, Gallatin, $28.

Chester E. Roberts, Orrick, was fined $82.50 for gross weight exceeding posted limit for state maintained bridge, and $42.50 for failure to maintain capable brakes.
