Youtsey-Lirley
The Youtsey, Lirley reunion was held Aug. 4 at the Altamont Community Building. With 76 present, all enjoyed a carry-in dinner and visiting. We will meet the same place the first Sunday in August 2003.
Harris
The Harris reunion will be held on Aug. 18 with lunch at 2 p.m.
Lowrey
The Lowrey reunion will be held Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Bethany Memorial Park. Basket dinner is at noon.
Michael
The 38th annual reunion of the Jesse and Estella (Cousins) Michael family was held Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 at the Ravanna Community Building, Ravanna, Mo. Linda Harms, West Bend, IA, was the host this year. David and Kayla Michael, Gallatin, will be the host next year. Before the meal, a business meeting was called to order by Linda Harms. It was voted to change the day of the reunion from the first Sunday in August to the first Saturday in August effective 2003. Gifts given were to the oldest present: Bernie Hines, Milan; youngest girl, Katie Reece, Camdenton; youngest boy, Trenton Michael, Blue Springs; coming the farthest, the Stuart Reece family, Camdenton; and the one with the reddest hair, Michael Gerlt, Pollock. Door prizes went to Frank Michael, Trenton and Valerie Michael, Blue Springs. Frank Michael gave the blessing before the catered meal for 39 family members. Two of the three remaining twelve children were present – Lois Whitcombe, West Bend, IA and Frank Michael, Trenton. The afternoon was spent with the fourth annual “white elephant” auction to raise money for another catered meal for the 2003 reunion. Pictures were taken and family updates were made.
