Graveside service and burial for Josephine Grumbine were held Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Breckenridge. Arrangements were by Rupp Funeral Home
Josephine Grumbine, 88, Lincoln, formerly of St. Joseph, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, at a Lincoln, Neb., hospital.
Born April 21, 1914, at Ranchos dee Taos, N.M., she later lived in Jamesport, and moved to St. Joseph, where she lived several years.
Mrs. Grumbine retired from the Paris clothing store in St. Joseph and had been a seamstress at the former Einbenders.
She was a member of St. James Catholic Church when she lived in St. Joseph.
Mrs. Grumbine was preceded in death by her husband, Levi; her parents, Juan and Manuelita Romero; and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Luis Grumbine, Lee’s Summit, and Grant Grumbine, McCalister, Okla.; two daughters, Jolita Williams, Beebe, Ark., and Levta Churchill, Lincoln; two brothers, Tony and Dela Romero, both of Rancho del Taos; one sister, Isabel Martinez, Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
