Five Gallatin girls mark end of Trojanette season

Five Gallatin girls recently completed the summer softball season with the Trojanettes.

Lacey Dixon and Maggie Strange were members of the Trojanettes 12 and under team, along with Stephanie McDonnell of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, Megan Watkins of Maryville, Kyla Emig of Eagleville, Kallie Schoonover of Mound City, Caitlin Bocquin of St. Joseph, Whitney Harrington of Fairfax, Kaycee Wyatt of Wathena, Kan., Jill Crouse of Gower, and Tiffany Bliley of Conception. They were coached by Vickie Wyatt of Wathena, Mike Harrington of Fairfax, and Danny Dixon of Gallatin.

Season accomplishments for the 12 and under team were as follows: first place in the St. Joseph Tournament, third in the Blue Springs tournament, second in the Missouri State Tournament, qualified for ASA West Nationals, qualified and played at AFA Nationals in Broken Arrow, Okla. Their season record was 30-17.

Kelsie Parker was a member of the Trojanettes 14 and under team, along with Holly Hewitt of Rosendale, Brittany Johnson of Mound City, Kelsey Hutchcraft of Union Star, Mandy Maise of Eagleville, Maureen Meyer of St. Joseph, Sarah Scott of Maryville, Minday Aarstad of Savannah, Racheal Mason of Maysville, Lyndsey Archer of King City, and Hayley Wyatt of Wathena, Kan. They were coached by Jayson Johnson of Mound City, Becky McGinnis of Plattsburg, and Steve Meyer of St. Joseph.

Season accomplishments for the 14 and under team include the following: first in two tournaments at Johnson County, Kan., first at St. Joseph Tournament, second at Beatrice, Neb., tournament, third at Blue Springs Tournament, second at Missouri State Tournament, qualified for AFA and USSSA National Tournament, qualified and played at ASA Nationals in Santa Fe, N.M. Their season record was 36-14.

Lindsey Robertson was a member of the Trojanettes 15 and under team, along with Ashley Ebersold of Maysville, Allison Quick of Redding, Iowa, Melissa Palmer of St. Joseph, Anna O’Brien of Gower, Elizabeth Baker of Maryville, Angie Claycomb of Bethany, Marissa Daniel of Bethany, Katie Schieber of Conception, Chelsea Terhune of Savannah, Tiffany Graham of Bethany, and Jennifer Kempf of St. Joseph. They were coached by Roger Baker of Maryville, Shane Terhune of Savannah, and David Carroll of Maitland.

Season accomplishments for the 15 and under team include the following: first at St. Joseph Tournament, second at Blue Springs Tournament, fourth at Missouri State Tournament, qualified for ASA Regionals, qualified and played at AFA Nationals in Salina, Kan. Their season record was 21-18.

Roxi Davitt was a member of the Trojanettes 16 and under team, along with Megan Gilland of Grant City, Erin Neely of Gower, Abbey Grier of Gower, Dyan Sybert of Bolckow, Kaydee Stobbe of Eagleville, Megan Meyer of St. Joseph, Amy Moran of Easton, Nicole Kneib of Fillmore, Angie Barnett of Bethany, Beth Wiley of Bethany, and Mary White of St. Joseph. They were coached by Larry Grier of Gower and David Gilland of Grant City.

Season accomplishments for the 16 and under team include the following: second at St. Joseph Tournament, second at Basehor, Kan., Tournament, fourth at Missouri State Tournament, qualified for USSSA Nationals, qualified and played in ASA Regionals in Kansas City, fifth at AFA Nationals in Salina, Kan. Their season record was 27-23.
