On Wednesday, July 31, a delegation from the James Younger Gang visited the Winston Depot Museum. The James Younger Gang is a group of private individuals interested in the history of Jesse James and Cole Younger. Among those attending were Betty Barr, David Kreider, Amy Cannon, Jasmine Spencer, Gerri Spencer, Michael Poynton, Mercedes Riley, Pamela Stafford, Linda Brookshire, Freed Coonce, Roely Gorham, Bill Davis, Shawn Godberry, Tim Peters and Elizabeth Beckett.

Elizabeth Beckett of the Clay County Department of Historical sites was in charge of the group. Betty Barr was of special interest. She is a great-granddaughter of Jesse James and cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the Winston Depot Museum.

Jay and Martha Groves, Melba Martindale, Virgil Julian and Ruth Frazier were members of the Winston Historical Society who were there to welcome the James Youngers.
