County Commission
Daniel Lynn, bridge supervisor, and James Lewis, foreman, met with the commission regarding several bridges in need of repair.
Mike Cottrell, Washington Township Trustee, met with the commission about extending an existing CART Rock Road. The commission added one-fourth mile to CART Road #39 for the 2003 year and brush control problems in that township.
Warren and Margaret Revels, Liberty Township met with the commission and Betty Harmison, assessor, as Board of Equalization. No change was made in the valuation for 2002.
Roger Billings, Union Township, met with the commission and Betty Harmison, Assessor, as Board of Equalization. No decision was made at this time. A follow-up meeting is planned with information on similar buildings in the area and calculating square footage in the buildings.
Bills were audited and paid.
The Missouri Veterans Commission sent information on a new Veterans Cemetery being constructed in Jacksonville, Mo., and how to get a pre-certification application. Other veterans cemeteries in Missouri are located in Higginsville, Springfield and Bloomfield.
