NWMSU Honor Roll

The office of the registrar at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville announced the names of students who were named to the Academic or President’s Honor Roll at the end of the spring trimester. To be included on the Academic Honor Roll a student must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and attain a grade point average of 3.50 or above on a 4.00 scale. Students named to the President’s Honor Roll have attained a perfect 4.00 GPA for the trimester.

Students named to the President’s Honor Roll from our area include Megan Uthe, Altamont; Brooke Weldon, Gallatin; Kimberly Payne, Jamesport; and Katie Burns, Pattonsburg. Named to the Academic Honor Roll were Jeremy Henderson and Nathan Henderson, Gallatin; and Melanie Gilbert, Jameson.

NWMSU undergraduates

The office of the registrar at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, released the names of undergraduate students who completed requirements for baccalaureate degrees at the conclusion of the 2002 spring trimester.

Northwest graduates from our area include Jeremy Wade Henderson, BS-agricultural business; Wendy Suzanne Walters, BS-public relations, both of Gallatin; Ryan Matthew Ranes, Jamesport, BS-animal science/commercial agriculture; Darbie June Valenti, Pattonsburg, BSED-Elementary education/elementary art education, graduated Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.75 for her collegiate career; Kerri Eckerson Ward, Gilman City, BS-business economics and finance, graduated Cum Laude with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.75 for her collegiate career.

Rachel Ann Reed graduates with honors

Rachel Ann Reed, daughter of Dennis and Stephanie Reed of Brighton, Colo., graduated with high honors and a scholarship to Union College in Lincoln, Neb. SMSU President’s List

Kristy Youtsey was named to the President’s List at Southwest Missouri State University at Springfield for the Spring semester. Kristy had a 4.0 grade point average.

Arah (Shelton) Gay earned a spot on the Dean’s List at SMS by attaining a GPA of 3.50 to 3.99. She is the daughter of David and Pam Shelton and will be graduating in 2003 with a music major. Her husband Nate Gay earned a 4.0 GPA and will also be graduating in 2003.

William Jewell College Spring Dean’s List

Kara M. Sullenger, was named to the Dean’s List at William Jewell for the 2002 spring semester. Sullenger is a sophomore business administration major at the college.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average while carrying 14 or more semester hours. She is the daughter of John and Mary Sullenger,
