The Gallatin Alumni met May 25, with 272 attending, including former students, teachers and guests. Alumni represented 36 classes from 1927 to 2002.

Jamie Lunsford started the evening with a patriotic power point presentation. After a meal prepared by Lynch’s Deli, entertainment was by Mike and Pam Spidle, singing Christian and country music.

The class of 1941 dedicated a podium in honor of Howard Weldon, a classmate who gave his life in the war.

Senator Conrad Burns sent a CD for each of his classmates showing the class of 1952 as they were 50 years ago.

A certificate was presented to Justin Kerns, who received the first Alumni Scholarship.

The class of 1953 volunteered to be in charge of the reunion next year.

Jameson/North Daviess Alumni

The Class of 1977 hosted the Jameson/North Daviess Alumni Banquet on May 26 with 93 alumni and guests present. Master of ceremonies was Richard Dustman, Class of 1977. Invocation was by Leta Wheeler, Class of 1971. Buffet dinner was catered by Lynch’s Deli and Bakery, Gallatin. Memorial was given by Dan Nickell, Class of 1977.

Special recognition was given to the 50 year Class of 1952; the 25 year Class of 1977; the 2002 seniors; the oldest alumni present, Carl Alexander, Class of 1920; and for traveling the longest distance, James Corbin, Class of 1960, from Morgan Hill Calif.

Entertainment was provided by North Daviess music department of Crystal Cook, Melissa Youngs, Jessica Scott and Kerri Baker. There was a short business meeting moderated by Jim Duly, Class of 1965, and an auction of some donated items. The Class of 1978 will host the banquet next year.
